I am the kind of person that when I find something I love, I have to share it!
Crazy Busy Mom blog was created as a place to learn, share and connect with other working moms. As moms we are all multi-tasking. We all have way too much to do! There is a lot of pressure on moms today, we are all juggling so many roles and responsibilities. I have found that knowing you are not alone and that there are others feeling the same way can make all the difference. This journey called life is much more fun with a tribe of women who want to be more, have more and do more.
My name is Chilly, and I am a recovering workaholic. I had my first real JOB at 15 years old, after graduating college I threw myself into my career. My career was my life, working 60+ hours a week, on the road 52 weeks on consulting projects. I didn’t have time for much else. So, of course it was at work where I met my how husband. In my 30s I got married and pretty quick had 2 kids, 17 months apart (hey, when you have kids after 35 you keep them close)!
I started my home based business in December 2009 to get a discount on products, and have something that was just mine. Looking back, I know there was a tiny hope, deep down, that one day it might be something more. I had previously joined a health and wellness company and FAILED at it. I was hesitant to try anything else, or get my hopes up. This time it felt more like just something fun. Work was fine and I really didn’t need to add anything else to my already full plate. At the time, I told my husband and friends, it was my hobby. And unlike my husband’s passion for golf, mine didn’t cost us anything.
Fast forward to 2012 when I needed to take a break from the corporate world to focus on my family. Once I was able to start thinking about a career again, I really didn’t want to go back to that life. For several years I struggled, searched and floundered trying to find myself, support my family, be there for my kids and still feel like I mattered. I tried more “things” than I think I can count from starting my own consulting practice, researching franchises, looking to make money in the stock market, becoming a crafter and working in the GIG world.
I was looking to create a flexible life for myself, where I could be home with my kids, support the family, travel with my husband. And then I realized I had it – my hobby – could be and had become the solution.
I now help other women fast track success with tools, systems and training so they don’t have to struggle like I did.
